Concrete Pavement Preservation

When appropriately used, full depth repairs (FDR) are an effective means of restoring the rideability and structural integrity of deteriorated concrete pavements and, therefore, extending their service life.

Concrete pavements exhibiting various types of structural distresses may be candidates for full depth repairs.  Typical distresses that can be addressed using FDRs include transverse cracking, corner breaks, longitudinal cracking, deteriorated joints, blowups and punchouts. Full-depth repairs are also often used to prepare distressed concrete pavements for a structural overlay.
